What majors/careers should i look at if i want to travel and help others in different countries?

I'm still in high school, and i plan on going to college. What majors and careers should i look at if i want to travel to different countries, study different cultures, and/or help and improve the lives of people in different countries? Do these careers pay well, and/or have any benefits? thanks!

1. maybe joining the army would be best for you if thats what youre looking for. the benefits that they have is when you get done with your required time that you are supposed to be stationed there then you can come back and go to college for free because they pay for your school. but i dont know. i would consider that though. :)
