Are there any Organizations or Charities based in houston trying to help Pakistan?

If u know of any organizations, charities, fund-raising in houston that is being done to help Pakistanis that have lost everything in the current devastating situation PLEASE let me know. Thank You in advance. Mr. Ali, I agree it is unfortunate people are too busy to help their brothers and sisters that are dieing of hunger and disease. I wanted to get involved. Do more then just donating money. I have been searching for any such opportunity for about 4 days with no luck.

1. Miss Anna, as a Pakistani and active fund raiser member i am sadly to inform you that there is no local fund raiser being held in Houston or around Houston area. We all are just too busy to comfort our lives but i believe last week, in Dallas they had fund raising event for the current situation of Swat and people of Swat. If you would like to donate the money for the refugee of Swat, I would highly recommend do it either through Geo TV channel Or do it through Mr. Abdul Sattar Edhi. I hope i hepled
2. I think Edhi Trust has their office in Houston. If not, they definitely have one in New York. Google their information. I trust only Edhi in Pakistan. He is the most honorable man Pakistan has. He is a saint or an angel on earth.
