So my question is, what do people REALLY think when they hear the words University of Houston? Is the reputation really that bad?

Is going to the University of Houston an overall enjoyable experience? I'm Texas born and raised and am considering attending U of H. I've heard good things and bad things about the school, and the number one thing that concerns me is the crime rate around campus and the housing areas. I don't want to be unprepared for anything, but I don't want to chicken out of going if I don't have anything to worry about. Is U of H a good, safe school, and has anyone enjoyed their time there?

University of North Texas or Sam Houston State for Accounting? (University of North Texas) - Denton, TX (Sam Houston State University)- Huntsville, TX I know UNT has a better Accounting Program. I would rather live in the Houston area after I graduate, but UNT might be a better college expierence since it's a bigger school. They also have good internship oppurtunities there also, which means I could end up living in the Dallas area after I graduate. If you had to choose between the 2 universities, which would you choose.
